Mission |
| |
| At ARCK,
our mission is to relieve pain and suffering by providing
quality care in a compassionate and efficient manner.
|
| |
|
Relieving pain and suffering |
| Many of the
illnesses we encounter are painful and debilitating. It is our
aim to treat your symptoms in the most effective manner
possible. Most often, this involves specifically addressing
the cause of the symptoms, and to do so, we first need
to make an accurate diagnosis. While non-specific means of
pain relief can be used to temporarily reduce symptoms, we
have found, and research ahs supported, that targeting
specific diseases produces the best long-term result. This is
where the care of a rheumatologist can prove most helpful. |
| |
|
Providing quality care |
| Our health
care providers are very conscientious to keep up with the
latest developments in treating rheumatic diseases in order to
provide you with the best outcome possible. Nonetheless, no
matter how diligent we are to stay current, there is simply no
substitute for time. Quality care takes time, and it is
our pledge to you as patients to give you enough time to
address your concerns and to allow us to understand your
problems in detail. |
| |
|
Compassion |
| It is our
goal at ARCK to demonstrate compassion to those who are in
need of our care. We strive to make this evident from the
moment you walk in the door, from the receptionist's desk to
the nurse or medical assistant's checking you into a room, to
the services provided by our lab, x-ray or infusion personnel,
to the office visit with one of our providers. |
| |
|
Efficiency |
| Because
quality care takes time, we must give our best effort to stay
efficient and accommodate the large number of patients in need
of rheumatic disease care with a limited number of specialty
providers. This is our motive behind our future plans to
recruit an optimum number of providers and behind many of our
policies regarding office visits (see the
Patient
Manual). In order to remain efficient and make time for
the large number of patients waiting for appointments, we need
your help. Keeping scheduled appointments and calling as far
in advance as possible to cancel or reschedule office visits
will open up space for other patients who would like to have
your appointment slot and eliminate any wasted space. Any
effort on your part will help all of our patients. |
