ARCK's New Home

After 10 years at 2450 N. Woodlawn, Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinics of Kansas (ARCK) is moving. The steady growth of the practice and continued demand for rheumatic disease care has resulted in our outgrowing our current office building. In order to continue providing high quality care, with the option of adding yet more providers, we have come to conclusion that we must expand our office space.

The new building is to be located at 1921 N. Webb Road, in the Wilson Estates Medical Park, in close proximity to many other high-profile medical offices. The new location is slightly further east than our original location on Webb Rd. between 13th and 21st Streets. Kellogg and 96 highway offer convenient access to Webb Rd. for patients on the west side of Wichita and other surrounding communities.

ARCK will begin providing services at 1921 N. Webb Road (see map on this Web site) on April 18th, 2011.

Dr. Shaver, an original founder of ARCK, states “In addition to improved access, the new ARCK office building will allow for an increased number of exam rooms, a procedure room, centralized imaging (x-ray, MRI, ultrasound, bone density measurement), a clinical lab, a full infusion suite, and a more spacious waiting room, complete with a television monitor that continues to provide health care information to our patients”.

The new building was designed by architect Stan Sheldon and built by Commerce Construction. The new facility has been planned with the patient and the daily flow of the practice in mind.

“We have been contemplating this move for the last two (2) years. The steady growth of our practice, the necessity of having new providers and better work flow made the move to a bigger clinic unavoidable” comments Dr Shadi Shahouri, the current President of ARCK. He continued that “we are all looking forward to seeing our patients in the new clinic. I believe everyone involved will feel the difference immediately. They will have easier access, more parking space, spacious rooms and better work flow. Most importantly, we will continue to be able to provide them with state of the art, cutting edge medical care in a very efficient and compassionate manner.”

Dr Shirley Wang, who joined ARCK in 2009, added “Expanding physically provides a means to better serve our patients and their families and to excel in the quality of care is always ARCK’s top priority.”

“The growth of ARCK has been exponential, not just in Wichita, but in our offices in Leawood, Kansas and Hutchinson, Kansas” added Robert Kozicki, Practice Manager. “ARCK needs the additional space to accommodate that growth as well.”
