 Ruth
graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing and has worked as
a staff nurse, charge nurse and patient care supervisor in her
25+ years at Via Christi, St. Francis. She returned to school
in the early 90�s earning her Bachelor of Science degree in
Nursing from Newman University, then a Masters of Science
degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a
Clinical Nurse Specialist in Family Practice, from Wichita
State University. She is board certified in Adult and Family
Health. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Ruth established the
Conway Springs Health Center which continues to serve the
health care needs for the community of Conway Springs. Though
skilled in assessment and management of rheumatological
conditions, Ruth�s focus is on patient education and often
includes information from her family practice background in
her contact with patients. She is an active member of St.
Joseph Catholic Church in Conway Springs, Education Committee
member for the Kansas State Nurses Association, member of the
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau,
and has served as adjunct faculty member for Newman
University. |
